ANNY Election 2018 Results

In the past few weeks ANNY members had the opportunity to cast their votes for several ballot items:

    • There were 3 current board members wishing to renew their service for another 2 year term.
    • A slate of 6 candidates ran for 2 board positions.
    • The ANNY board proposed a series of changes to the bylaws.
The ballot has closed - thank you to all ANNY members who participated in the voting!  The results are as follows.

Renewing Board Members

Andrea Barra (Georgia College & State University), Robert M. Karp (SUNY Plattsburgh), and Kathleen Landy (Queensborough Community College, CUNY) were all renewed to another term on the ANNY board.  Please join us in congratulating these continuing board members.

New Candidates

Sandi Connelly (Rochester Institute of Technology) and Bryan Dowling (Borough of Manhattan Community College, CUNY) have been newly elected to the ANNY board.  Congratulations to our newest board members!  And a big thank you to all nominees and candidates who expressed interest in serving ANNY on the Board.

Proposed Bylaw Changes

We are pleased to announce that the proposed bylaw changes were approved by the membership.  The new Board will convene in July and continue the work of ANNY, including the implementation of bylaw changes.

One significant change is that the bylaws now call for a series of committees, and in the near future the Board will be looking for volunteers to participate in these committees.  More to come soon - if you're interested in participating, please look for an email this summer about how to get involved with ANNY.
