Membership in ANNY is open to all postsecondary educators and those in related fields. Although most of our members are from New York State, we include all those in the larger Middle States region with an interest in assessment in higher education. Faculty, staff, and administrators committed to advancing quality assessment in colleges and universities are welcome! Our membership year is from the first day of the annual conference to the day before the next annual conference.
The price of membership for 2019-2020 is included in the registration cost of the Spring 2019 Annual Conference, though it can also be purchased separately for anyone who cannot attend the conference.
Event Members (Annual Conference Registrants)
Membership is included in annual conference fee for all conference registrants.
Individual memberships are available for those who are unable to attend the annual conference. Such members maintain member voting rights, receive discounts on regional events, may fully participate in ANNY subcommittees, and may seek a nomination for the ANNY Board of Directors. Regardless of when someone registers as an ANNY member, annual membership begins the first day of the annual conference to the day before the next annual conference.
Annual Membership is $50.
We offer two ways for full-time students to become more involved in ANNY:
Full-time students are encouraged to register for our Annual Conference at a student rate, which includes one year of membership
Full-time students may register to become annual members. Note: Regardless of when one registers, membership ends the day before the start of the subsequent year’s annual conference.
As a young organization, ANNY is continually looking to expand the benefits of membership. By joining ANNY, you will have a voice in the future direction of programming and services provided to members. One of ANNY's primary goals is to provide affordable professional development in assessment. The current list of membership benefits includes:
Discounted admission to ANNY’s regional events
Held periodically throughout the year, these smaller events often center on a specific theme. Past events have included "Linking Institutional Assessment to Student Learning" and "Sharing Student Learning Outcomes Assessment in the Disciplines."
Input into ANNY's organization
ANNY members can participate in the Board of Directors’ nomination process, vote in ANNY’s annual Board of Directors election, and vote on amendments to ANNY’s by-laws, policies and procedures.
ANNY members can participate in volunteer opportunities which broadens your network and provides professional development. Fill out the Volunteer Interest Form to participate.
