The Assessment Network of New York (ANNY) proudly partnered with the University at Buffalo to offer its members the opportunity to participate in an assessment boot camp. It was a great three-day session facilitated by Kimberly Yousey-Elsener, Director of Assessment and Evaluation for University Life and Services at the University at Buffalo. This event recently won the SUNY Chief Student Affairs Officers Programming Award.

This event featured a keynote by Claudine Keenan, Dean of Education at Stockton University in New Jersey, and a panel including: Mitch Nesler (Vice President Planning & Institutional Effectiveness, Empire State College), Gerald Kobylski (Director of Assessment, West Point), Dom Cerrone (Associate Professor, Culinary Institute of America), and moderated by Betsy Carroll (Culinary Institute of America).

Sponsored by the The City University of New York’s Assessment Council, ANNY, and Hunter College, this day-long event will featured four presentations from public and private institutions with a panel presentation at the conclusion of the day.
Co-sponsored by Adirondack Community College and SUNY Plattsburgh, this day-long workshop focused on different components of institutional effectiveness including the assessment of the strategic plan, student development and administrative units, general education, and student engagement using the NSSE. Nearly fifty individuals were in attendance representing, public and private institutions in New York State.
Originally planned for November 2nd, this well attended event co-sponsored by Rockland CC was rescheduled for November 16th due to Superstorm Sandy. Over 70 attendees participated in one of eleven breakout sessions to share their ideas and experiences with assessment in specific disciplines. At the end of the day, each group shared what they had learned over lunch.
