Assessment Coordinator (S4236PO)
Reporting to the Assistant Provost for Institutional Research and Assessment, the Assessment Coordinator will create, develop, and strengthen assessment efforts university-wide. This includes working collaboratively with the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Student Success in supporting the university’s general education (Catamount Core) assessment plan. This is a leadership position where the person will be expected to lead and provide expertise to assessment initiatives at the university-, college/school-, and department-level. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to build and grow learning-outcomes assessment at UVM.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five to six years’ related experience required. Master’s degree is desirable. Knowledge of statistics, research methodology, and survey research required. Experience with the development of qualitative and quantitative assessment methods for institutional/general education, program and course level learning outcomes. Knowledge of current best practices in academic assessment, academic program review, and co-curricular assessment. Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work with diverse members of higher education communities including faculty, staff, administrators, external reviewers and accreditors. Experience in data related activities of a complex organization using multiple data bases.
