University at Buffalo seeks a qualified individual for the position of Associate Director of Assessment and Strategic Initiatives within Campus Living. This individual provides leadership to develop and increase staff knowledge of students, the educational environment and program effectiveness. Providing coordination in designing, implementing and interpreting assessment, evaluation and research projects. Serve on the department’s leadership team as primary support and manager for strategic planning efforts.
Candidates must have working knowledge of relational database concepts, demonstrated experience working with data, spreadsheets, and data visualization tools, knowledge of research and assessment methods, and a broad comprehension of the higher education landscape and its challenges. This position requires a proactive, creative individual who can lead assessment efforts and manage multiple projects with competing time demands, develop concise and clear reports, and communicate and interact with various constituencies with varying levels of data comprehension.
